Scribe is a chat-shaped iPhone app that reads a pile of screenshots and videos, keeps the transcript of every one of them literally, then summarises the batch and answers questions about it.
Built for iOS 26. Uses your own OpenRouter key.

How it works
Read once. Ask as often as you like.
Each file is read on its own, saved exactly as it came back, and only then summarised. Follow-up questions are answered from the saved transcripts, so nothing is re-uploaded and nothing is paid for twice.
Attach
Up to 500 files at once, mixed. Tap + for Photos, hold it for Files or Paste, or use Open in Scribe from another app.
Read each file
Chats message by message, videos and recordings word for word, photos and documents described with every visible line quoted.
Save it literally
The raw answer is stored untouched. Everything the app shows is derived from it, never the other way round.
Summarise
Headline, overview, timeline, people, key facts and open items, each traced to a file number like [3].
Keep asking
Recent questions come back as one-tap chips, and every [12] in an answer opens file 12.
Literal transcripts
The original stays exactly as it was.
Scribe keeps every line in its original language, with a natural English translation beside it. Hide the English whenever you like. The verbatim original never changes.
- Chat screenshots get every visible message in order, with sender, timestamp and emoji kept exactly as shown.
- Videos and recordings get the audio word for word: filler, false starts, laughter. Plus what is on screen.
- A Raw tab shows exactly what came back, ready to copy.

Share a whole thread as Markdown from the thread menu, or copy a single transcript or its raw JSON.
Costs in view
Spend on OpenRouter shows per batch and in Settings, so a big read never comes as a surprise.
Leave it running
Lock the phone. Scribe keeps reading.
A batch runs as an iOS 26 continued-processing task, with progress in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen, so you can lock the phone or use another app. A notification says when it is done.
- Files that fail on a transient error get one automatic second pass.
- Anything interrupted by a crash resumes by itself the next time the app opens. A batch you stopped yourself is left alone.
- Files read at once is yours to set: higher is faster, lower is gentler on cellular.

Privacy
Local first. No Scribe server in the middle.
The phone talks straight to OpenRouter with your key. Your threads, files and transcripts live on your iPhone.
History on this phone
Originals and transcripts are stored on the device. Screenshots are downscaled to 1600px on import, which is all the model needs.
Your key, one provider
OpenRouter is the only model provider Scribe calls. Your key stays in the keychain.
An account that watches out
Sign in on Berth. Scribe asks "Was this you?" about a new device, lists signed-in devices, and can sign them all out.
